The Behavioral Insights Team (BIT) is a social purpose company, whose objectives are: making public services more cost-effective and easier for citizens to use; improving outcomes by introducing a more realistic model of human behavior to policy; and wherever possible, enabling people to make ‘better choices for themselves’.

They grew out of research programs in psychology and economics at top academic institutions, and their work draws on decades of experimental scientific research. They use these insights to design scalable ways to improve programs, policies and products in the real world.
